In Harry's news this week, the British clothing chain Peacocks has gone into administration as it could not pay back it's debts. The Peacocks group company had to sell itself to another company in order to pay back it's debts. The company manage to sell itself to the an European company called European Sun to help it to pay back it's debts.

In other news, alot of people are upset in Britain that the new RBS boss Stephen Hester is getting a big pay boost this year as the Royal bank of Scotland was one of the banks that cause the resussion for Britain and got Britain into alot of debt. Alot of people don't think he deseaves getting an pay boost for the trouble the bank has made and cause.

In Harry's news this week, an luxury cruise boat shipwreck off the coast of Itlay. The luxury cruise ship was called the Costa Concordia and it had around about 4000 people on board when the accident happened. The ship hit rocks which made an big hole on it's side which fill the ship with seawater and then the ship turn on it's side. Everyone had to abandoned ship and get to the lifeboats. The search and rescure teams have confimed that 11 people had died and 29 people are sill missing from the shipwreck. The captain of the ship has been arrested by the Itlain police for getting to close to the rocks and for not getting everyone on the lifeboats.

In Harry's news this week, Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond has asked the British government for an referendum for Scottish independence from Great Britain for the Scottish people. He hopes that the Scottish independence referendum will happen in the year 2014, but the British government has not yet decided on whether or not give Scotland the referendum for independence. Alot of the M.Ps in the British government do not want Scotland to be independenced from Great Britain. The Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg is going to speak with the Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond in Dublin next week about the independence referendum.

Matt's Christmas

At christmas I opened all my presents i got a new leather wallet, silver chain, football piggy bank, two thermo t-shirts, two sets of gloves and a hat,model kit car, bike repair kit and lots of other gifts i got drunk i also ate lots of mince pies and turkey my dad and my brother came up and we exchanged presents we watched lots of christmas films like i saw momma kissing santa clause.we had a really good christmas.

Harry's Christmas and New Year's holidays

What I did for my Christmas and new year's holidays ?. I woke up at 8 o'clock in the morning on Christmas day to open my Christmas presents with my family. I had some books, broad games and an eletric razor. For my Christmas dinner I had an roast with turkey, stuffing balls, sausages wrapped in bacon, carrots and brocilli which my mum cooked for us. On New Year's day we stayed in to watch the fireworks go off at 12 0'clock at night for the new year in Portsoy where I live. I have got none new year's resolutions.

Ian's Christmas Holiday

I spent Christmas with my family at Peterhead. I was with my mum;i got lots of new tops and lots of sweets and dvds.
We had lots of food to eat on Christmas day and we watched Eastenders and watched dvds and we had a quiet day on boxing day.
On New years eve i stayed at home and on new years day i went to the pub and had a few drinks i had a lovely christmas with my family.

Heather's Christmas and new year's holidays

On Christmas Morning I opened my presents and the Dominic Kierwan DVD and C.D. and aTeddy Mug, a Daniel O' Donnel DVD and Danniel O' Donnell C.D. We ate turkey, Roast sausage, stuffing and chicken soup and beef pudding. I spent Christmas Day with mum and Hazel and Christopher. My favourite present was a Daniel O'Donnell calendar.

On christmas eve we put some whisky,mars bar,a carrot and a sweet mince pie out for santa,we also put some magic dust outside so the raindeer could find our house.At 10 oclock on the dot I went to bed because I was very excited.At 7.30m Fiona knocked om my bedroom door to tell me that santa had been.I jumped out of bed and ran upstairs to see my presents,I opened all my presents and I got a new printer,but that came broken so it has top go back,lots and lots of smellies,new clothes,sweets,dvds and I also got a lovely snuggle blanket.At dinner time we were going out to our friends with my brother Andy and Billy,we walked to Lydias house in Banff,when we got there all our other friends were there,we had a ;ovely dinner and a lovely day and then we walked home.On boxing day we just stopped at home and had a nice quiet day,because the next day was my brother Andys birthday,we had a nice meal and then went bowling on the evening and Andy won all three games.
On New years eve we were having a party so I went shopping with Fiona and Andy to get some lovely party food and beer.So when we got home I helped make all the party food then I got ready to meet all my friends.
The party was really good and everybody enjoyed themselves,they didnt go home until 12.30m at night.Two days later we went to our neighbours pary and we had a lovely time.I had a lovely time at christmas and new year but I was really excited to come back to work.

In Harry's News this week, it is now 2012 and the celebrations have started last week with fireworks displays all over the world. Their was one major fireworks display in every capitil city around the world. Everyone hopes that it will be a good year ahead for the world countries and hope that it will not be so bad like last year after what happened in Libya and Eypet last year. Also this year the city of London will host the 2012 olypmic games and everyone in Britain is exicted that Britain will host the games.
