happy 40th birthday Stuart!

Happy 61st birthday Henry!

henry's story

Well I stay in Aberchirder in a sheltered housing complex. LAst week was my first week at Banff day Services and I got on fine; I enjoyed coming to the group and finding out more about photography. I used to bide in Whitehills before; my father had a boat and I went out to sea with him. I liked going out to sea. I went out for about six months and I left because my grandfather passed away.

I also worked at SANGS factory for two years; I enjoyed that and I left because I got paid off. I also worked at Downie's in WHitehills, washing the fish and boxing them; I stayed there for six months and left because we moved to a new farm. My brother and myself didn't want to move but my father wanted to mve to a bigger farm. My brother didn't like his new school when we moved.

Fianlly we moved to Foggie and I got a job with a furniture store. Once we even did a removal from Wales to "Foggie."

I like taking photos of things.

I have one sister who has twins and one brother.

I haven't used computers much before but I am here to learn.

Hey I'm Lauren. I'm a NC Health And Social Care student at Aberdeen College currently on placement here at Banff Day Services for four weeks. I chose to study health and social care because I find the subject interesting and want to help and makes peoples lives better. After this course I will continue on to HNC Social Care and then maybe university to study Social Work. My experiance here at Banff Day Services so far has been exciting and fun. I have met many new different kinds of people and taken part in a variety of activites. I was suprised at the range of things there is to do and how involved it is within the community.

Harry's News

In Harry's news today, it is 2011 so happy new year to you, but there's some sad news all ready to the started of the new year by the goverment putting V.A.T tax up from 17.5% to 20% and petrol is going up by 3 pence. The reason why the prices are going up is because of the resession which happened 2 years and the goverment is taxing everyone to boost more money into the econemy for what the banks did by over spending.

In other news, the police want to talk to the protesters, who attacked Prince Charles's car with him and Camilla in it, during the students protest about turtion fees. The police have CCTV footage of the protesters and hope they will be arrested.

And that's Harry's News.
