Receiving a food hygiene certificate is important for those people who are working in the food and drinks industry, as it proves that you’ve met your training requirements and standards in food safety and hygiene. Likewise, this will allow you and your staff to better implement food safety standards in your establishment.

Everyone, not just the owner(s) or the manager(s), must be trained with regards to food safety. This is to ensure that everybody in the business knows how to do it. It’s important, especially that nowadays health inspectors are keeping a close eye on food businesses, and usually, it’s the employees who are under the microscope. It’s essential that everyone knows how to follow safety procedures, even the higher-ups. How else would you expect your staff to do the same when the one they look up to doesn’t?
